The Questionaire and Other Stuff
'Cause I can always find some of that.
I kind of live under a rock, especially if I've been working a lot. Case in point: Barely coming up for air all day yesterday, and doing an amputation on an adorable little kitty over my lunch hour because I'm a soft touch now and then.
So I didn't hear about the whole Mystery Stole phenomenon until it was well into MS3. And I didn't want to jump into the middle. HOWsomever.... The Nautical Knitter has begun a new KAL that begins in October, entitled "The Secret of the Stole." If you're interested, follow the link in my button bar to the left. (Open it in a new window, or you'll get it in that tiny little narrow frame. Sorry about that, I'm rather new to Vox and don't know how to code to open a new window FOR you). I'm now looking for I think a pale blue hand dyed lace yarn to knit it in. I know she says earthy colors, but I'm in a bluish sort of mood. So there.
I also just discovered the Woolgirl (I know, I know), and I'm having a yarn lust attack:
I REALLY like it. Of course, I'm an easy sell.
Oh, and my Hogwarst Sock Kit Swap Questionaire (not that my pal hasn't already gotten more than this information via e-mail, but hey.)
1. What Hogwarts house have you been sorted into?
Ravenclaw. (Nearly every time, too.)
2. List your favorite double-point needle brands, including size and length. Or would you prefer circulars?
I'm a magic looper, so I like LONG cabled circs - but I only need one. I adore the addi turbo lace needles, and have 1's and 2's. I can't wait till they bring out a 0. In fact, I don't have a 0 at all, and maybe a plain addi in 0 would be nice. But then, duplicates of the sizes I have would allow me to cast on a new sock before I finish another. Good thing? Or Bad? I'm not sure!
3. Would you like to try a new brand needle? If so, which brand? Size? Length?
I guess nothing LEAPS to mind, though I've heard Knit Picks circs are nice, as well, with slightly sharper tips than the standard Addis.
4. If you are a RAVENCLAW, do you prefer the colors in the film or the book? Do you have a strong preference?
I prefer the book colors, though it's not an absolutely overwhelming preference.
5. Do you have any allergies?
Eucalyptus. Which is occasionally a problem with wool washes (Eucalan leaps to mind). Cigarette smoke.
Comments
Actually, I think a Fairy-themed swap would be fun, just in terms of picking cool color yarns and all kinds of neat tidbits.
Or maybe a knitting and cocoa swap. Since I love gourmet hot cocoas. ;-)
